Belongs

Viṣṇu only belongs to Lakṣmī, and Lakṣmī only belongs to Viṣṇu.

  1. Nārāyaṇa of Vaikuṇṭha has 3 wives: PadmāVāgvādinī Sarasvatī; and Sureśvarī Gaṅgā. All these three are the same personification of Mahālakṣmī.
  2. Viṣṇu of Śveta-dvīpa, the ocean of milk, has 3 wives: MānasīSindhukanyā; and Martyalakṣmī. Again, they appear from Mahālakṣmī's ray of Vaikuṇṭha.
  3. Puruṣa Sūktam states the Lord has 3 wives: ŚrīBhū; and Nīla. Śrī Vaiṣṇava confirmed they are none other than the expansions of Mahālakṣmī Herself.
  4. When Viṣṇu took avatāra, Lakṣmī happen to be Sītā of Rāma; Bhāratī of Kapila; Bhūmi of Varāha; Rukmiṇī of Vāsudeva; or Rāseśvarī Goloka (Rādhā) of the Kṛṣṇa and so on.

Even in some incarnations where the Lord does not seem to have a companion, Lakṣmī still to accompany Him by staying in His heart. Lakṣmī is like moonlight that always follows where the moon (Viṣṇu) orbits.

In layman's terms, it depicts that Viṣṇu and Lakṣmī always remain together, and their spirit of togetherness surpasses various kalpas. That's why they are ādī-dampattī, the primordial couple! We are all sons and daughters of Lakṣmī-Nārāyaṇa.

Hair

When Brahmâ and the other Devas went to Visnu and prayed to Him then Hari gave to Brahmâ one hair of a black colour and one hair of a white colour.

  1. The Bhagavân S’rî Krisna was born of that black hair and
  2. S’ankarsana Baladeva was born of the white hair. They were both the incarnations of Visnu.

Lord Vishnu sleep for four months

Chaturmasya means "four months", which is the duration that Vishnu sleeps in 'Yoga Nidra'takes rest, lying for two months on oneside and then two months on the other side of His lotus body.

The Caturmasya period begins in the month of Ashadha (June-July) from the day of Ekadasi called Sayana-ekadasi, in the fortnight of the waxing moon. The period ends in the month of Kartika (October-November) on the Ekadasi day known as Utthana-ekadasi, in the fortnight of the waxing moon. This four-month period is known as Caturmasya. Some Vaishnavas also observe it from the full-moon day of Ashadha until the full-moon day of Kartika. That is also a period of four months. This period, calculated by the lunar months, is called Caturmasya, but others also observe Caturmasya according to the solar month from Sravana to Kartika. The whole period, either lunar or solar, takes place during the rainy season. Caturmasya should be observed by all sections of the population. It does not matter whether one is a grihastha or a sannyasi. The observance is obligatory for all asramas. The real purpose behind the vow taken during these four months is to minimize the quantity of sense gratification. This is not very difficult. In the month of Sravana one should not eat spinach, in the month of Bhadra one should not eat yogurt, and in the month of Asvina one should not drink milk. One should not eat fish or other nonvegetarian food during the month of Kartika

Catur Dha Grahya Vai Cirnam Catur Masya Vratam Narah
Kartike Suklapakse Tu Dvadasyam Tat Samacaret
(HARI BHAKTI VILASA 16/412 from MAHABHARATA)

A person who observed Caturmasya fast stated in four different ways should end his fast on the Dvadasi day on the light fortnight of the month of Karttika.
