Guru

In Padmapurana Uttara khanda, 1st chapter shloka 8, Shaunka muni very nicely says to Suta Goswami the glories of spiritual master. He says

cintaamani lokasukam suradruhu svarga sampadam
prayachati guruh preeto vaikuntho yogi durlabham

1. The chintamani or touch stone is capable of granting the pleasures of the world. 
2. The divine tree Kaplavruksha can give pleasures of swarga and heavens. 
3. But a worthy Guru and preceptor who is satisfied can even grant entrance in Vaikuntha which would be difficult even for yogis.
